osh10: Bio

Take electronica and then strip it back to its rhythmic core, mash it up with trip hop via jazz, funk and pop and you might find yourself in the world that is osh10. Starting with an electric bass and a voice then layering loops and effects to create a rich, dynamic soundscape. With one album under her belt and a second slated for release in early 2010 osh10 has been described as “a supernova burning brightest before the star burns out” and is destined to scorch out her own musical path.

osh10 performs at festivals and venues across Melbourne such as The Palais Theatre, The Northcote Social Club and The St Kilda Festival and were invited to showcase at New Music west in Vancouver Canada.

Want to know a little more.....

Aimee found music, or rather music found Aimee, in a rather round about way. Early years were spent doing ballet classes, musical theatre and acting classes, which led to a degree in Creative Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts, where Aimee was able to let loose her warped sense of humour and imagination through a major in creative writing. After dabbling in writing occupations such as editing and copywriting, Aimee found herself at the piano and with her guitar writing more and more songs. Music soon proved far too magnetic and Aimee undertook a Diploma in Jazz/Popular music with a vocal major, which then led to a Bachelor of Music. Performing at Clubs, Bars and everything in between keeps Aimee out of too much mischief and despite previous forays into original music with various outfits, osh10 has been the enduring labour of love, that Aimee believes is her perfect artistic project.
